The public is invited to the Leander Library on July 16th for the dedication of the Story Time Room.
From the Library:
Carol North devoted her adult life to giving the gift of reading to hundreds of children as she taught in Leander ISD for 22 years at Whitestone, Blockhouse Creek and Knowles elementary schools. On June 16th, Leander City Council unanimously approved to name the library’s story time room in her honor. Join us for the dedication on July 16th at 11:00 am.
The city of Leander hosts their annual Liberty Fest on Sunday, July 3rd this year. This free event includes live music, vendors, children’s activities and a fireworks finale. The event is hosted in a field between San Gabriel Parkway and Hero Way. For more information, see the city’s website.
Summer reading is here–and it’s Reading to the Rescue! Join the Leander Library all summer long for performers, workshops, crafts, movies and more. The summer reading club is open to everyone, ages 0-100 and you do not have to have an LPL Library card to participate.
Come watch the amazing feats of the Flying Disc Dogs of Austin! at 10:15 at the Mason Homestead (right next door to us!). Then come inside to sign up for summer reading, take some pictures at our photobooth and have some giveaways!
